Carpentry
What we do
We cover all non-structural carpentry work, from skirting boards and architrave through to hanging doors and installing and renovating door frames. It is the sort of work that is easy to spot when it has been rushed: gaps at the mitres, doors that catch, skirting that ripples along the wall.
We also offer a loft boarding service, which can include a built-in loft ladder, a straightforward way to turn wasted roof space into proper storage without touching the structure of the house.

Carpentry we take on

Hung, adjusted and ironmongery fitted so they open, close and latch properly.
- Door frames and linings
New frames installed, old ones repaired or renovated.

Cut, scribed and fitted neatly, ready for the decorator.

Boarded out for storage, with a built-in loft ladder if you want one.
- Shelving and storage
Fitted shelving, alcove units and simple built-in storage.

Carpentry: common questions
No. We stick to non-structural carpentry. If a job turns out to need structural work we will tell you straight away rather than take it on.
In most cases, yes. Older profiles can usually be matched from stock or from a moulding supplier; we will show you the closest option before ordering.
Most are. We check the joists and the insulation depth first, because boarding should never squash your insulation flat, so we raise the level where necessary.
